WINNER OF ASAWCA 2024!
I’m very proud to be the winner of the Allmänna sången & Anders Wall composition award 2024 for my composition En sådan kväll (lyrics by late Solveig von Schoultz) for mixed choir. The piece is published by Germans Musikförlag and you can take a look at it here!
ELARIA ORCHESTRA
Elaria Orchestra released Ikigai, their first album, in the fall of 2022. The album have had great reviews and regarding to Swedish Music Magazine Lira Elaria made it to the top-list and was awarded ”Best big band of the year”.
Erika is co-Founder of Elaria Orchestra (with flutist Lina Lövstrand). Elaria is a professional contemporary big band, with the aim to be an including workspace within the jazz genre. Erika writes most of the music as well as conducts the orchestra.
PROJECTS
Projekt Frostros/Rosenfrost
Projektstart VT2023. Resa till Berlin med stöd av Konstnärsnämnden. Ett körprojekt tillsammans med tyska kompositören och saxofonisten Birgitta Flick där vi skapar verk med ett utforskande av våra modersmåls likheter och olikheter och omsätter jazzens improvisation till körens kontext.
Mass for mixed choir and jazz trio
Planned release, publishing and premier during autumn 2023.
Alice
Music for string quartet, jazz piano and spoken word. A glimpse of composer Alice Tegnér through music and spoken word. A collaboration with cellist Emily Jeremias & violinist Karin Hellqvist.
Ikigai
Fall 2022. Elaria Orchestras first album. Erika has several roles as producer, composer and conductor.
Nordic Project
Elaria continues to develop the Nordic Project and travels to Norway October 2022 for concerts.
Projekt: Tröstsånger och sorgerop
Songs about mourning & sadness. Written in Swedish and performed by jazz musicians. The plan is to release separate songs or an album in 2023-2024.
